Spring Flooring
A spring floor sits under your mats to add give for throws, falls and tumbling. Our sprung floor systems suit martial arts dojos, gymnastics, dance, cheer and parkour, and come pre-assembled, as DIY kits or as foam-block subfloors you lay yourself.
FUJI Spring Floor System
The FUJI Spring Floor System uses:
- double-layered 9mm plywood boards, each covering 1.22m x 1.22m
- 25 springs per board, plus spring caps and hardware
- pre-installed Velcro connectors instead of screws, for a tool-free install
- boards marked for easy assembly
Lay your Fuji mats directly on top. It's listed at $299.95 pre-assembled or $249.95 as a DIY kit, and the product page calculates the cost from your floor area in square metres. Extra springs are available for edging. Ask about finance and leasing for larger fit-outs.
Foam-block subfloor
Fuji Subfloor Super Blocks are self-stick EVA blocks, 10cm x 10cm x 5cm, for a DIY sprung subfloor under your Fuji mats. Allow one block per 30cm square, plus 10–15% for overages and open edges: that's 27 to 33 blocks per 1.2m x 2.4m plywood sheet.

What is a sprung floor?
A sprung floor is a subfloor that flexes under impact. The FUJI system uses springs between two layers of plywood, and you lay your mats on top.
Pre-assembled or DIY kit?
Pre-assembled saves time and labour. The DIY kit includes the springs, two layers of plywood boards and all hardware, with boards marked for easy assembly.
How do I work out how much I need?
Multiply the length and width of your floor to get square metres. Each spring floor board covers 1.22m x 1.22m. For a foam-block subfloor, allow 27 to 33 Super Blocks per 1.2m x 2.4m plywood sheet. We can also help you calculate it.
Can I put tatami or MMA mats on a spring floor?
