How many tiles?
Each tile covers 1m², so a 4m x 5m room needs 20 tiles. Two edge pieces come with every 25mm and 40mm tile for a clean border.
Jigsaw mats or tatami panels?
Jigsaw tiles are light, easy to lift and good for odd-shaped rooms. For a full-time club floor, Tatami Mats come as 1m x 2m panels. Training Series tatami uses 220kg/m³ foam, the right hardness for everyday training. Pro Series uses 240kg/m³ competition-grade foam and is IJF, EJU, ADCC and IBJJF Approved.

Frequently asked questions
Do jigsaw mats work for BJJ?
Yes. Both the 25mm and 40mm puzzle mat pages list BJJ. The 40mm tile is described for grappling and throws, so choose it if you'll be taking falls.
25mm or 40mm jigsaw mats?
25mm suits BJJ, MMA, karate, taekwondo and general fitness. 40mm gives more cushioning for throws and high-impact training.
Are the puzzle mats reversible?
Yes. Each tile has a different colour on each side, such as Blue with Red or Black with Grey.
What are jigsaw mats made of?
EVA foam. The 25mm tile uses dual-density EVA: 64kg/m³ inside and 96kg/m³ on the outer layer. The product pages describe both thicknesses as water-resistant and easy to clean.
Can I use jigsaw mats at home?
Yes. The product pages list home gyms as well as dojos and fitness studios, and the tiles are light enough to lift and store.
